Roughened Verse aspires to be a hub for creative professionals across all entertainment mediums. Founder Elyes Gabel brings twenty years of experience and relationships with top creators and executives across Hollywood and hopes to mark this tenure with a robust slate of projects in development that explore a vast vessel of themes through different storytelling mediums. Plans include drawing on Elyes’ career relationships to collaborate with the industry’s most notable talents in writing, acting, directing, producing and music as well as keeping an eye out for new talent and up-and-coming artists to help them find a supportive home at Roughened Verse and within the industry. Created with the drive to harvest raw, uncompromising and authentic voices, Roughened Verse’s first film Game Show Hurt will see Elyes Gabel star in and direct his long time passion project. Now in post production, Game Show Hurt is coproduced with Josh Foglio’s Roboleaf Productions, marking the first in a slate of scripted and unscripted projects scheduled between the two companies. With a documentary rooted in the ideas of resilience and survival, as well as more music in the offing, this upcoming year will see an exciting string of projects from Elyes and other talented collaborators.
